Arts
Creativity, Expression, and Confidence
The arts at St Paul High School help students develop creativity, discipline, collaboration, and the courage to share their gifts.

The arts are an important part of a well-rounded high school education. At SPHS, students have opportunities to explore visual arts, music, theater, worship music, media, and performance.
Through the arts, students learn discipline, collaboration, creative problem-solving, confidence, and meaningful expression.
Arts Philosophy
Creativity as a gift to share.
In a Lutheran school community, creativity is understood as a gift to be developed and shared. The arts help students see beauty, communicate meaning, work with others, and grow in confidence.
Students do not need to see themselves as professional artists to participate. The arts are for students who want to create, perform, design, sing, act, build, and explore.
Arts Opportunities
Many ways to create.
Visual Arts
Students explore drawing, painting, design, mixed media, and creative visual expression.
Music

Performance & Showcase
Sharing creative work.
Students are encouraged to share their creative work through school events, performances, exhibitions, chapel, student media, and community gatherings. These opportunities help students build confidence and learn the discipline of preparing work for an audience.
